Trash Removal The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has mandated West Caln Township to promote a recycling program. The Saturday morning service at the Municipal Garage has been discontinued. In an effort to keep curbside fees at a minimum, the Board of Supervisors has made a decision to keep trash collection private. Township residents are free to contract with any of the haulers who have elected to register with the Township. The registered haulers are as follows:
The Township is also providing two bins for each household for the purpose of recycling, The following items are considered: aluminum cans, bi-metal containers, ferrous containers, glass containers (clear, green or brown), plastic containers (type 1 or 2), newspapers, magazines, periodicals, catalogs, telephone books, cardboard and mixed papers. When contracting with a trash hauler it is recommend you establish how the company you choose will accept the recyclable items for their collection process. Many of the trash haulers provide a service for collecting bulk items, but it is recommended you contact the haulers directly for that information. Any resident that has not received their recycle bins may contact the Township Office at 610-384-5643. |
