West Caln Parks & Recreation

A Recreation Advisory Board was created by the Board of Supervisors in 1997.  The duties of the Board include supervising and maintaining Township funded recreation programs and facilities.  The recreation Advisory Board, along with Township Supervisors are responsible for planning the current improvements to Layton Park.

Parks & Recreation Meeting

Parks & Recreation meetings are held tentatively on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Parks and Open Space Rules and Regulations

Tennis Players

In an effort to protect the surface of the tennis court we will be keeping the court locked.  To access the court we will be providing keys to anyone interested in playing on the court at any time at your convenience.

This system is necessary because of the use of the court by people with bicycles, skateboards or scooters or any other use that will damage the surface.

Keys may be purchased at the Township Office any time during regular business hours.  The cost of keys is $25.00 per year and will run from January 1st to December 31st..

Layton Park Pavilion 

Rental Information

ALL FEE’S ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND DUE AT THE TIME OF MAKING THE RESERVATION.

Pavilion #1 – no charge – first come first served basis

Pavilion # 2 – Residents $50, Non-residents $75

Pavilion #3 – Residents $75, Non-residents $100

Whole Park Rental – please call the Township Building for information and prices

**Pavilion #2 is handicapped accessible  

***Rules and regulation forms are available at the Township Building.  Call or stop by the Township Building to reserve a pavilion.

 Any special event that you would like to plan at Layton Park needs to be approved by the Parks & Recreation Board. The Board can be reached at 610-384-5643.

 Banner Advertising

The Parks and Recreation Department of West Caln Township is offering businesses in the community to advertise with a beautiful banner placed on our softball fences in Layton Park.

 

Your banner can be designed by you with the help of our recommended team from

Sign-A-Rama.  Don’t delay.  Order your banner today!  Details are below.

 

·         All banners will be 3’ X 5’.

 

·         Banner Cost: $7.50 per Sq. Ft. (approx. $112.50).  This is a one-time fee

to be paid to Sign-A-Rama, 463 Uwchlan Ave, Chester Springs, PA 19425-2232, (610) 363-6464. Our recommended vendor.

 

·         Advertising Fee: $100.00 per year due to West Caln Township each March 15th. The Recreation Board will have final approval on all banners.

 

·         Banners will hang on the softball fences April 1st through November 30th each year.

 

·         Space is limited.  Orders placed first will have top priority.

 

·         Banners will be the property of the businesses.  West Caln Township is not responsible for stolen or damaged banners.

 ·         The township will be responsible for hanging the banners, taking the banners down, and storing them during the winter.
