On January 3, 2012, the Board of Supervisors enacted a Real Estate Tax for the year 2012.  The tax rate is 1 Mil for 2012.  This is the first time since 2001 that a Real Estate Tax is necessary.  The Board is currently negotiating a contract with Berkheimer Associates for the collection of the tax.  Further details will be forthcoming as they become available.
